i have been in fandom for a long time, and i strongly believe in practicing the following fandom etiquette:
ship and let ship
don't like, don't read
your kink is not my kink (and that's okay)
put differently, i am against harassment and censorship with regards to fiction, and i curate my digital spaces accordinglyβ οΈ if you exhibit poor fandom etiquette toward myself or others, you may find yourself disinvited from my bubble β οΈi don't really do DNI criteria (because i've seen them be weaponized by bad actors), except for the following:if you are a minor, please do not interact with or follow me. i am an adult, and this is an adult space πp.s. if you identify as a radfem, we won't get along!
i've been in many fandoms over the years, but at the moment my brainrot is of the love & deepspace flavori am particularly enamored with sylus and zayne, but i also find caleb interestingi enjoy exploring non-canon polyamorous dynamics that include mc, especially those where everyone smooches everyone (so if LI/LI romantic interactions bother you, you may want to avoid some of what i post)as for my works of fiction, here's what i gravitate toward writing:
bdsm dynamics (soft dom & pleasure dom sylus, soft dom & brat tamer zayne, brat tamer caleb)
aftercare (such as cuddling or bathing together)
banter (i love spicy dialogue)
yearning (what is fanfic for if not to capture the special sauce of a powerful man being so utterly, disgustingly smitten that it makes him look silly)
dubious consent (such as somnophilia, sex pollen, fuck-or-die, and mating/heat cycles)
with respect to calebmc's dynamic, i (personally) would describe them as "not friends, not siblings, but a secret third thing," and i write them from that perspective (it's Freaks, to be abundantly clear, and my interpretation falls under the pseudocest umbrella because i adhere to the source material wherein they were adoptive siblings who have since had their adoptive relationship legally dissolved)while i enjoy a certain degree of conflict in fiction, i don't enjoy most darkship dynamics, and therefore i steer clear of the vast majority of darkship/darkfic content (though i do love a good vore fic from time to timeβ shoutout to all the hannigram writers for keeping me fed π)all this to say: fictional depictions of abusive dynamics and/or extreme paraphilias involving the LaDS characters aren't to my tastes (but more power to you if they are! β), which means my social media activity won't push any of that content onto your feed since i don't interact with it
please DO NOT follow me simply because you enjoy my writing!!if you enjoy my writing, you can always read my works on ao3social media is where i go to yap. as such, you can expect to see posts about the following:
silly headcanons, including those that aren't canon-compliant
drabbles (shorter fanfics that i also cross-post to ao3)
interactive fics, in which i'll take a serialized approach to posting a work-in-progress and cap off each update with a poll so the audience can vote on what happens next
educational threads about topics of importance to me (e.g., fandom etiquette/history/culture, writing advice, how to spot genAI creative writing, how right wing politicians are weaponizing your disgust to usher in draconian censorship laws, non-fiction reading recommendations)
occasional yapping (mostly about fandom, but also sometimes about political stuffsβ sorry not sorry for the sporadic leftist posting)
a truly gratuitous amount of smut
about that last point: i am predominantly a smut writer, but i also write fluff, angst, and many other genresi will always tag my works appropriately so you can easily avoid anything you dislike (and easily find what you do like)i sometimes repost sexually suggestive art, but i don't repost sexually explicit art (e.g., uncensored graphic depictions of sexual acts); however, i do frequently "like" & comment on sexually explicit art (which means that if you choose to follow me, your algorithm may feed you those same posts)
some final info about how i navigate social media:
i block liberally as a way to curate my space. it's almost never personal, and a block on twitter is just that: a block on twitter (i.e., the hell site, the place that would make a nun curse, the psychological torment nexus that has assumed html form). if you think you got bounced by mistake (since i do run automated scripts), hit me up on strawpage π«Ά
i have a VERY extensive muted words list, and i suggest you beef up yours as well!! on a related note, please don't c3n$0r words like this because funky spellings bypass keyword filters and can result in triggering content making it onto my timeline despite my best efforts to avoid it. same goes for screenshots of sensitive or disturbing content. (keyword filters don't work on screenshots, beloveds!)
i have almost no tolerance for fandom wank (or "drama," as the kids call it these days) and reserve my energy for dealing with people who are causing real-life harm.
i verrry selectively follow back because it is no one's responsibility but my own to curate my timeline so that it reflects my interests (and does not reflect my squicks), but that doesn't mean i don't want to interact! please feel free to yap with me, whether that's in replies or DMs π
if you vibe with everything i said above and are blocked, feel free to send me an unblock request! as i said, i block LIBERALLY, so there's a chance that you got caught in the crossfire when i mass-blocked everyone who engaged with a specific post π
